I totally agree! So does Saskia, who wrote a song about being on the subway wanting to connect with people as everyone is reading, writing, occupied. New York can be so isolating but there are so many opportunities to connect. Next time I go out on the streets I'll leave my ipod at home.

Hey Jamie,
Long time no see. I, finally, came across your blog for the first time. And I love it. Please don't cringe on my English, I'm only a Korean. *_^;;

Hey Jamie,
I love your blogs! Wow, that chick who was getting a manicure really needs to get a clue... It's amazing how many little experiences to take stock and remember how we want to be (or as the case was not be) and move through the world surround us every day.
xoxo,
Lauren

hi jamie, i'm the proud & grateful mother of taro alexander, the founder & creator of the fabulous Our Time Theatre. so glad you were able to be at the gala & experience the magic. what you said about realizing you could do better after seeing these kids completely resonated with me. i always feel challenged to access the better & truer parts of myself after an Our Time event ... especially, to go to the places that may be difficult or scary. these kids have a kind of courage i can't even imagine, but they make me want to try harder. thanks so much for telling about it.

My favorites:
"ironically enough" when something is not ironic in the slightest.
"uninvariariably"
"irregardless"
"This is so fun" instead of "so much fun," though if it being said when something is really fun, I try to refrain from cringing and correcting. It's hard being the son of an English teacher. I can see that I've probably made a heap of errors in this post alone. Oh well, them's the breaks. Be well Jamie and I really enjoyed your post about the benefit for people who stutter.
